Our Pedagogist

Caledonia Early Care and Learning Centre in honoured to work with Gloria Albarracin. Gloria is our Early Childhood Pedagogy Network (ECPN) pedagogist. Gloria, a twice-immigrant mestiza originally from Honduras, brings a unique perspective to her role. As a pedagogist, she is passionately dedicated to fostering practices that responsively address the distinct social-historical context of the Prince George community.

Beyond the Books working with a Pedagogist

The ECPN is a program supported by the BC Ministry of Education and Child Care, which assists early childhood educators in British Columbia. According to the BC Early Learning Framework (BCELF), the Pedagogist plays a crucial role as a professional who contributes to creating and sustaining high-quality early childhood education programs. Our Pedagogist, Gloria supports our early childhood educators by helping them design, implement, and assess inquiries/projects within their practice settings. Furthermore, she facilitates critically reflective dialogues on pedagogical practices through pedagogical narrations.
